I have used the idea from his latest book Linchpin to elaborate on how to become a Linchpin using Work From Home Careers. According to Seth, “If you tell me what to do, the responsibility for the outcome is yours, not mine. I’m safe.” How true. You get the idea, isn’t?

Starting a niche online business is the most inexpensive way to start making money from advertising and by promoting affiliate products. Using only a few hundred dollars, your determination, and hard work, you will be able to create web sites with a sustained income. It’s not a “get rich quick scheme.” However, most people don’t have a clue about how to start a niche online business. I am starting a series with a step-by-step guide on how to start building niche websites for generating cash.

Definition of Niche Marketing: Niche marketing is defined as marketing products and services that cater to a particular group of people. This group wants to solution to a problem they’re experiencing or they have a passion for a specific thing. Always remember that people buy stuff to solve a problem or they have passion for certain thing and want to spend their money to fulfill that passion.

For example, somebody will buy an acne solution product because they are suffering from acne problem, on the other hand, a person may buy remote control cars because it is his  hobby and he spends a substantial amount of his earnings on his hobby.

You may not like this post and I apologize if I offend anybody. I want to be brutally honest with you. I receive lots of emails from people asking me questions like “how do I make money online?” Is this money making system going to make money for me?” and other similar questions that an honest Internet marketer cannot truly answer unless the marketer is lying to you to sell his products.

I also find lots of people borrowing money from their credit cards and joining expensive coaching programs and wasting countless hours attending webinars. They’re buying worthless websites and traffic for thousands of dollars. They’re easily swayed by online marketing videos that show expensive cars, beach houses, and screen shots of clickbank (or similar) account with thousands of dollars in orders.

People make it a big deal about search engine optimization as if it is some kind of voodoo that only a few can have true knowledge about it let alone apply them successfully to rank in search engine result pages. Truly, according to Google, it is often making small changes to your website to create a noticeable impact on user experience and search engine rankings.

In the past, I have discussed about simple search engine optimization techniques in my post SEO Small Business Techniques and Easy SEO Without Using Search Engine Optimization Firms. In Easy SEO, I had also outlined 10 steps that you can use to improve you site’s ranking in Google without spending a lot of time and money. Seth Godin, best selling author, entrepreneur, speaker, founder of the popular Web 2.0 site Squidoo, has just released his latest book Linchpin – Are You Indispensable? I read a lot of reviews and watched a few interviews with Seth Godin about his new book. Linchpins are people who make positive changes in others’ life by throwing away the rule book of an organization.
