If you accumulate enough backlinks from lots of sites over a course of one year, you will not only see a boost in your search engine rankings but also visitors from those sites.
Watching videos online is becoming extremely popular and more than 100 million visitors watched 6.3 billion videos on YouTube in January, 2009. In an earlier post I listed 25 sites for free web traffic from high page rank backlinks. Though that article listed YouTube as a potential backlink building and free web traffic generation site, I left out other video sharing sites. I did my research and came up with this list of 11 video sharing sites for building back links and driving free web traffic to your site.

DailyMotion A very popular and high traffic general purpose video sharing site like YouTube. The site has a large collection of licensed do it yourself videos and it growing due its partnership with Howcast. You create your profile and add links on the profile page.
Graspr The site has decent traffic and offers instructional videos on a wide range of topics. It shares its revenues with people who upload videos to the site. It also has an affiliate program. Though you can login using your facebook account, don’t do it. Create a new account and profile page. Add your links to the profile page for backlinks and free website traffic.
IMBroadcast It is a multimedia site for internet marketers. If you want to learn internet marketing, you may find some good videos here. A good place to network with internet marketing professionals. The site offers a widget that you can install in your blog or website. You put your link in your profile page.
JustVideo A video site for all things Canada. You cannot upload videos at the site but you can embed videos from other video sharing sites like YouTube, DailyMotion, Metacafe, etc. However, you can add text description to videos you embed at the site. Add appropriate links to your web site pages in description.
Ovi It is a photo, video, and file sharing site. The site offers widgets that you can embed in your MySpace, eBay, Blogger pages. You can also bulk upload your files. Embed your links in video description.
VideoJug A large how-to video content site on the web. They claim the site is “encyclopedia of life”. You can find high quality prfessionally produced how-to videos in the site. You create a profile after signing in and add you website link on the prifle page.

Viddler says that it is a platform for video publishers. Like YouTube, you upload your videos and add some description. Add you link in the description.
WonderHowTo Another how-to video sharing site categorized into large number of topics. You can build a widget video at the site and embed it in your blog or website. Create a profile page and add your website link for backlink and free web traffic.
Use these video sharing sites to upload your original contents and share links of videos found at other sites. Create a profile with contents that are keyword rich and embed you website link.
